Study Colloquial Arabic in Lebanon

Overview: Five-week intensive Arabic language and culture program offering intensive instruction in Lebanese/Eastern dialect for students who have studied approximately one year of Modern Standard Arabic. 

Dates: July 5 – August 6, 2010

Language curriculum: Haki bil-Libnaani  with Audio and Video Newly developed comprehensive course designed to enable students with approximately one year of study in Modern Standard Arabic to attain proficiency in the dialect quickly and easily. 

Culture: Variety of cultural experiences organized by the program, including excursions to many of Lebanon’s rich and exciting historic and touristic sites.

Instructors: Taught by the creators of Haki bil-Libnani —  teachers with long experience working with non-native speakers of Arabic.

Location: Held in downtown Beirut's Ashrafiyyeh district at AUST's new and well-equipped campus facilities. A stone’s throw from the fabled cafes of downtown Beirut

Cost: $2,450 includes tuition (6 credits), double occupancy room, and cultural trips & tours
